Land Acknowledgment

Boldly Inclusive is located on the traditional territory of the Wendat, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Anishinabek, and current treaty holders, the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The Métis have also historically lived on and cared for this land. It continues to be the home of many Indigenous Peoples.

This territory is subject of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, a concept that predates colonization, reflecting the need to care for shared territories and hunting grounds and territory holders’ collective responsibility for ensuring that all have enough to eat.

This acknowledgement speaks to Indigenous history, and concepts of belonging and accountability, and grounds us in truth and reconciliation.
